The Rude Mechanical Theatre Company are seeking a female identifying actor-musician with strong comic ability, excellent singing ability and strong movement skills for this exciting multi-role actor-musician show. We will only consider performers who play at least one portable, acoustic musical instrument to a professional standard. We are particularly interested in actors with considerable experience in either physical comedy, clown, mime or commedia dell’arte. We use Pedrolino style white face make-up (pantomime blanche) and all prospective cast members will need to agree to the use of this make-up before applying.

Playing Age: 16 - 30

Essential Skills: Play at least one portable musical instrument to a professional standard. Excellent singing skills. Excellent comedy skills. Considerable experience in professional theatre.

Desirable Skills: Be able to drive. Open air performance skills. Clowning. Physical Comedy. Commedia Dell'arte. Mime.

Auditions will be held on February 10th 2025 and are strictly by invitation only. Auditions will initially be held in Greater London however, for the right applicant, we can consider alternative locations.
