Langton Green Performance Cancelled - Wednesday 24th June 2026

It is with great regret that we have decided to cancel tonight’s performance of The Wife at Langton Green.

The Met Office has issued a rare Red Extreme Heat Warning for the area and, after reviewing the latest forecast against our Hot Weather Risk Assessment, we have concluded that it would not be possible to proceed safely.

Before every performance our company must build the stage, erect tents, move equipment and prepare the site. At Langton Green, access to the school grounds is not available until the end of the school day, meaning that much of this work would need to take place during the most extreme temperatures of the day.

While we are often able to perform safely in hot weather by implementing a range of control measures, today’s exceptional conditions mean that we cannot adequately reduce the risks to our company members, volunteers and audience.

We are extremely grateful to Langton Green Primary School for hosting us and fully understand and respect their access arrangements.

Ticket holders should refer to the email sent this morning for information about transferring tickets to another performance. If you have not received that email, please contact us directly.
